What is Considered a Dental Emergency?

If your child has any of the following symptoms, please call Smile Explorers’ office in Norterra immediately:

• An accident causing a cut or bitten tongue, lip or cheek
• Cracked, falling out or knocked out tooth
• Swollen or infected gums
• Other severe tooth or mouth pain

Please seek help from our pediatric dentist as soon as possible if your child is has suffered an oral injury. We’ll assess your child quickly and determine the best course of treatment. Early intervention is key, the sooner we are able to evaluate your child’s dental emergency, the better their chances of avoiding more extensive dental work and a fast return to a normal happy child.
